VISITING BOWLERS
WINNER OF ENGLISH SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr C. P. Cross, Mrs Cross and their son, Mr K. I. Cross, arrived by the Westralia today, revisiting New Zealand after some years. Mr K. I. Cross won the singles bowling championship of England in August, but does not want it thought that it is because of that ihat he is out here again. They are on a holiday intended to extend over several months, and I father and son hope to run round as I on their previous stay, playing bowls. Mr K. I. Cross also hopes to take part in the New Zealand bowling tournament, though he has not come out expressly for that purpose. Mr Cross, senr, is president of the Hampshire County Bowling Association and, with his son, won the Eastbourne open pairs tourney. Mr Cross, junr, is now 27 years of age and is the secondest-youngest play- i er ever to have won the English title. 1 It was won by Webber .in 1925 when he - was 25 years of age. i
