PARACHUTE REGIMENT

FORMATION IN GERMANY. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright BERLIN, November 22. The newspapers are calling for volunteers aged 17 to 22 for Germany’s first parachusist rifle regiment. Their main war time duty will be to create surprise diversions in the enemy’s flank and rear where they would be dropped from aircraft by parachutes. They must serve two years, after which they have the option of joining the regular army for twelve years.
