Daladier, and the Foreign Minister, M. Bonnet, with the British Prime Minister, Mr Chamberlain, and the Foreign Secretary, Lord Halifax, on their forthcoming visit to Paris. The two Ministers will be accompanied by Mrs Chamberlain and Lady Halifax. They leave London on Wednesday. At question time in the House of Commons today, Mr Chamberlain told the Opposition Leader, Mr Attlee, that his forthcoming visit with Lord Halifax to France was to return the visit of the French Ministers to Britain, and, no doubt, opportunity would be taken to discuss various matters of great interest to both countries. The Prime Minister was received by the King at ’Buckingham Palace this evening as Mr Chamberlain is unlikely to have another opportunity to see the King before he leaves. Officials who are going to Paris along with the two British statesmen include Sir Alexander Cadogan, Permanent Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr William Strang, head of the Central Department of the Foreign Office, and Mr Osmund Cleverly, the Prime Minister’s principal private secretary. _____
