A bride aged 76 and a bridegroom of 83 were married in Auckland yesterday. The bride was Mrs Emily Barnfield and the bridegroom Mr T. B. Jacobsen, a well-known figure in the city who for many years has made the feeding of pigeons and other birds in Albert Park his special charge. The ceremony was performed by Canon Cecil A. B. Watson, whose birthday it happened to be, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The couple was the oldest Canon Watson has ever married.
