DARING FLIGHT

After a daring 650 miles unplanned flight from Stockholm, in a 70 horsepower sports plane, a British engineer, Brian Grover, was arrested at Staritza. A pilot flew Grover from England to -Stockholm, where, during the pilot’s temporary absence, Grover hastily took off again, facing severe winter weather with little flying experience, to bring back his Russian wife, who for a year has been unable to obtain a permit to leave Russia, while he .was unable to secure a Soviet visa to go to Moscow. Grover undertook the adventure in order to draw the attention of the highest authorities to his case.
