FRANCO SAID TO INTEND SEIZURE. HEAVY BRITISH INVESTMENT AT STAKE. (Independent Cable Serviced (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, November 20. “Reynolds’ News” says that General Franco is planning to appropriate the Rio Tinto copper and sulphur mines, in Southern Spain, in which four millions sterling of British capital has been invested. The proposal at present is being kept in the background, following on reports that such action would cause disquiet in financial circles abroad.
