TAXI LEAVES ROAD
ACCIDENT NEAR KOPUARANGA MASTERTON RESIDENT TAKEN TO HOSPITAL A taxi driven by Mr William lan Porter left the road near Kopuaranga on Saturday night when attempting to pass another ear travelling in the opposite direction, and crashed over a bank. It dropped about forty feet, turning several somersaults. Mr Harry Goddard, of Masterton, one of two passengers, suffered fractured ribs, and was later admitted to the Masterton Hospital. The driver and the other passenger escaped injury. The accident occurred at about 9.20 p.m.
