VALUABLE JERSEY BULL
1 PURCHASED BY MASTERTON FARMER. A beautifully bred and highly successful jersey sire Erinview Masterpiece has been acquired by Mr L. A. Keats, Mt Bruce, Masterton, from his breeder, Mr J. Murray, Woodville. Mr Keats has secured a bull who has proved himself a sire of very high producing stock, having qualified as a champion butterfat bull with fourteen two-year-old daughters averaging 5061 b butterfat in 305 daj/s. He has also left stock of sound type and robust constitution. His breeding suggests great dairy ability as he is by a champion butterfat bull in Miro Meadows Buttermaker, who is closely bred to the famous dairy sire K. C, B. (Imp.). His dam Erinview Queen Bee, a consistently high producer, has a 305 day record of 7771bs fat and a 365 day record of 880 lbs fat, the former record made under ordinary herd conditions. She i come of a family remarkable for dairy ability. Her dam, Erinview Queen, C.0.R., 535 lbs fat at 3 years, is a full sister to Erinview Treasure, H.C. C.P., | who has five daughters averaging 5551bs i fat at 2 years. Erinview Queen Bee, who is strongly bred to K. C. 8., also ■ carries the blood of Majesty’s Fox i (Imp), and Sultan’s Daisy, C.0.R., 968 i lbs fat. Erinview Masterpiece C. 8.8. should ( continue his successes in Mr Keat’s | herd where he will be mated with stock | carrying much of the same blood.
