TECHNICAL SCHOOL

USE OF BUILDING AS MUSEUM PROPOSED. APPLICATION TO THE TRUST. On the motion of the Mayor. Mr T. Jordan, the Borough Council, at its meeting last night, decided to apply to the Trust Lands Trust to have the old Technical School building handed over at a nominal rental to the borough to be used at as museum. Mr Jordan said he understood that there had been some dispute between the Trust and the Education Department as to who owned the building. A fair amount of public money had been subscribed towards the cost of the building. He suggested that the museum at the Central School might be shifted into the building. Other councillors agreed that it was a good proposal.
