HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

SPRING FLOWER SHOW. The Horticultural Society’s spring flower show, which is always one of the outstanding events of the flower season, will this year be held on Wednesday, November 23, in the Municipal Hall, Masterton. The schedule, a copy of which the secretary, Mr E. K. Eastwood, 5 Perry Street, will be pleased to post to anyone who may desire one, shows that there are to be one hundred and sixty-five classes, embracing open and amateur sections for cut flowers, vegetables and fruit, sections for home industries and decorative work, and special sections for novices and for children. Many special prizes and cups have been donated for competition, and there is every indication that the various classes will be keenly contested. Entries will close with the secretary at noon on Tuesday, November 22. Alternatively they may be left with Mr H. L. Esau or Mr D. Fairbrother.
