WHEN IRONING

USE FELT INSTEAD OF BLANKET. When ironing, a good idea is to use a piece of white felt instead of an ironing blanket. Cut it to the size of your kitchen table, and sew a curtain ring about two inches back from each corner. Then put the felt upon the table and tie the rings with cord to each table leg. You will find that the felt ironing blanket will never pucker or ruck, but stay firm whilst you work.
