YOUNG FARMERS

CANTERBURY PARTY VISITS WAIRARAPA

INSPECTION OF DISTRICT FARMS

A party of 25 members of Canterbury Young Farmers arrived in Masterton yesterday from Dannevirke, in the course of a tour of the southern portion of the North Island. The party is in charge of Mr C. C. Leitch. After lunch, members of the Masterton Young Farmers’ Club took the visitors for a car drive around the district.

This morning a visit was paid to Mr Roland Perry’s farm, Upper Plain, where considerable interest was shown in his stock. The party proceeded to Carterton for lunch, as guests of the Carterton Young Farmers’ Club, and this afternoon it was intended to visit Mr W. H. Booth’s "Middle Run” property. Tonight will be spent at Featherston, and tomorrow morning the party will proceed to the Hutt Valley for an inspection of the industrial area there.
