RIFLE SHOOTING

MASTERTON-OPAKI CLUB. H. K. SMITH WINS COMPETITION. A record muster of members for this season attended Saturday’s competition shoot which was won by H. K. Smith with a brilliant 143, the only marksman who reached the limit. E. M. Wrigley scored a possible at 800 yards at which range there were two fortynines registered. A very strong light and tricky variable wind did not make conditions as easy as they appeared. Scores:—
