CONGESTION IN AUCKLAND DUTCH STEAMER DELAYED IN BERTHING PROTEST BY HER CAPTAIN (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The original waterside gangs on the Waiana and Kaimiro resumed work at 8 o’clock this morning, in terms of Saturday’s settlement, and as soon as word was received of this men’s employment discs were put out at the Waterside Labour Bureau, and ships were manned as far as the strength of union allowed. In addition to an already full port, the Monterey, from Sydney, and the Niagara, from Vancouver, arrived early this morning and are being worked. The Dutch passenger vessel Maetsuycker, which arrived from Saigon (French Indo-China) was compelled to anchor in the stream as no berth was available. Her master protested that it was unfair that his ship, which had arrived before the Monterey and Niagara, should have to anchor, probably until tomorrow.
