EKETAHUNA

THE SWIMMING SEASON. (“Times-Age” Special.) There is an increased attendance daily at the local baths. The Eketahuna Swimming Club anticipate a very successful season . especially in view of the fact that members are-do-ing splendid work in teaching swimming to all those interested. The captain of the club, Mr R. Gallagher, is taking a particularly active part in this connection, and anyone communicating with him will find him only too willing to impart instruction. The Fruit Season. Judging by the condition of local orchards there will be a substantial fruit crop this season, the heaviest for years, provided the winds do not play havoc with it. During the past fortnight local gooseberries have been marketed.-
