SAVAGE CLUB
CONCERT TONIGHT. Considerable interest is being taken in the Savage Club’s concert in the Opera House tonight. Not only are patrons assured of entertainment from a galaxy of talent such as is rarely assembled on a local stage, but they will derive added satisfaction from the knowledge that the proceeds are ear-marked for the purchase' pf much-needed stage properties and interior sets for the benefit of all users of the Opera House, which sooner or later means practically every resident of Masterton.' The Savage Club orchestra did splendidly at its practice last night; the Dramatic Club’s sketches and short plays have been thoroughly rehearsed and are ready for presentation to the most critical audience; the club’s vocalists are in fine voice and completely at ease in their selections. Altogether the concert should be of a high standard.
