CONCERN IN KENYA ASSURANCE FROM BRITAIN WANTED. LONDON, November 11. The Nairobi correspondent of “The Times” says that the Governor intervened in a debate in which the Legislature uniformly supported a motion viewing with perturbation the position in Kenya and Tanganyika and asking the Imperial Government for an unequivocal assurance. His Excellency declared that though he and his associates had strong views, there were regular channels through which opinions could be conveyed to England and he must therefore instruct officials to vote against the motion in the event of a division.

The motion was withdrawn, the Governor promising to report to Mr MacDonald, Colonial Secretary.
