SHEEPSKINS AND HIDES

WELLINGTON PRICES (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Good catalogues were offered at the sale of sheepskins, hides and tallow held yesterday by the Wellington brokers. Sheepskins sold at firm rates, but hides were slightly cheaper. Sheepskins: All grades were in demand, and practically a total clearance was effected, sound-pelted full-wooled lines selling in most cases at prices fully on last sale’s rates. ' Hides: The firm tone ruling at our previous sale was not so much in evidence, and values were generally easier. Light ox were 3-8 d and cow Ad to jd lower, medium and heavy ox and yearlings were generally firm, while calfskins were fd to -Jd lower. Tallow: There was no quotable change in values.
