ROAD CORNERS

IMPROVING VISIBILITY. The improvement of visibility at the corner of Blair Street, leading to the Masterton Hospital, is being sought by the Masterton Beautifying Society. A deputation from the society will wait on the Lansdowne School Committee at its meeting tomorrow night with a request that the committee should agree to the rounding off of the corner. It has also been suggested that a small shelter shed could be erected at the corner for the convenience of Hospital and other visitors and that it might be possible to arrange for slot telephone facilities to be provided. The society also intends to request the Wairarapa Hospital Board to agree to the rounding off of the corner on the opposite side of Blair Street and on the corner of Colombo Road. If this were done, there is no doubt that visi bility for road traffic would be considerably improved.
