MASTERTON BAPTISTS
MONTHLY MEETING The Rev F. Flayes-Lloyd, pastor of the Lower Hutt Baptist Church, presided over the monthly meeting of Maslerton Baptists held last night in the Odd Fellows’ Hall. Nearly thirty persons were present, this larger number than usual being accounted for by the fact that Mr Hayes Lloyd brought with him a dozen or more fellow Baptists from Lower Hutt.
The subject taken for interpretation was “Christ’s Temptations.” Mr HayesLloyd’s remarks were based upon St Matthew, chapter 4, verse 5. The service was followed by com-
munion. Miss A. Graham ■ presided at the piano, and a sacred solo was rendered by Mrs Logie of Lower Hutt. At the close of the service supper was served to the visitors by the local . ladies. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the visitors for their assistance on the motion of Mr W. Teeboon. An invitation is extended by the local Baptists to anyone interested in these matters to attend the monthly meetings.
