RIFLE CLUB COMPETITIONS. KAIPARORO AND TARARUA. ("Times-Age" Special.) The Kaiparoro Club fired its first aggregate competition for a trophy over the 500 and 600 yards ranges for a trophy donated by Mr W. Olsen, the scores being as follows: —

Owing to an outbreak of measles among the Wellington staff’ of the Bank of New South Wales, Mr Max Anderson, of Eketahuna, is on relieving duty at the Wellington branch. A Wet Week. A wet week'has been experienced in Eketahuna though there was an improvement in conditions today. Just on an inch of rain fell during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday. Measles Epidemic. There does not appear to be any lessening in the measles outbreak in many parts of the district. On some farms whole, families are down and the milking of cows is becoming a serious problem. In some cases non-suf-ferers are assisting scarlet fever patients by carrying out farm work for them. Women's Institute. The Rongokokako Women’s Institute will celebrate its birthday with a dance next week in the local hall.
