PARIS VISIT

MR NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN’S MISSION

DISCUSSION ON APPEASEMENT PROPOSALS. DESIRE TO KNOW FRENCH VIEWPOINT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.35 p.m.) LONDON, November 4. The “Daily Telegraph” says Mr Neville Chamberlain not only wishes to let France return hospitality but to discuss with French ministers appeasement proposals on which he wants France’s view before taking definite steps. “The Times” says France is as desirous as Britain to reach an understanding with Italy and Germany. It is believed that the policy pursued by successive French governments towards Germany since the Versailles treaty is radically revised if not ended.
