GERMAN SHIP SUNK
FOLLOWING ON EXPLOSION USE OF BOMB SUSPECTED By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. OAKLAND (California), November 4. The German steamer Vancouver was sunk here by an explosion today, which the Master, Captain W. Moessinger said might have been caused by a bomb. Four of the crew were injured. . , The theory of sabotage is lent credence by a telephone message received by the “Oakland Tribune,” in which an unidentified person asked the editoi. “Do you want some good news? A bomb just went up in a German ship. The speaker immediately terminated the conversation and the blast occurred a few minutes later.
