HOSPITAL TRAGEDY
ELDERLY MAN COMMITS SUICIDE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HOKITIKA, This Day. Augustus Patrick Gawne labourer, of Waiho, a patient, committed suicide at the Westland Hospital last night by tying a pyjama cord round his neck. He was found suspended from a bed-post. He was 69 years of age, a widower with three young children.
