GUILTY OF ARSON

WOMAN SENT TO GAOL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, November 3. In the Supreme Court today Mr Justice Kennedy sentenced Marcelline Osabet, costumiere, Gore, who had been found guilty of arson, to six weeks’ imprisonment. In passing sentence the judge said that he had taken into account the state of the prisoner’s health and her age, which was stated by counsel to be 70.
