ROYAL VISIT
ACCOMMODATION PLANS IN WASHINGTON WHITE HOUSE CONSIDERED INADEQUATE By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. MONTREAL, October 31. The Washington correspondent of the United Press says that Mrs Roosevelt, at a Press conference, said that if King George and Queen Elizabeth had no desire ■to stay at the White House during their Washington visit, she would not offer any objection to their occupying “some great mansion” such as other monarchs occupied while here, and the necessary arrangements would be made. The observation arose when a report that “certain dowagers” considered the White House inadequately equipped to entertain royalty was brought to her attention, but she concluded that the .problem, if it arose, would be handled by the British Embassy and the State Department.
