FpREST DOWNS GOLF CLUB. ANNUAL CLOSING DAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) During the weekend the Forest Downs Golf Club held its annual closing day when a large and representative gathering of members and friends was present. A mixed foursome played durimj the afternoon was won by Miss E. Polson and B. Kerr. Following afternoon tea, the president (Miss G. Heckler) presented the trophies won during the season. She referred to the successful season experienced and thanked members for their co-operation. In appreciation of her work in arranging afternoon tea throughout the season, Miss Heckler, on behalf of the club, presented Miss A. Mallabar with a beautiful jewel case. The following is the list of trophies won during the season:— Bogey round: Ladies: E. Heckler (Mr Campbell’s trophy); men, H. Milner (Mrs R. Wilkin’s trophy). President’s trophies: Ladies, E. Heckler; men, H. Malabar; Captain’s trophies: E. Heckler, F. Morrel. Flag competition: M. Tildesley, R. McGovern (Mr Corlett.’s trophy). Eclectic (yearly); M. Tildesley, R. B. Cameron (Mr Tildesley’s trophy). Eclectic (second round): P. Mallabar, W. T. Cheetham (Mr B. Kerr’s trophy). Bogey round: D. S. Cameron, Miss G. Heckler (Mr J. McGovern’s trophy).
