FAILURE TO GIVE AID

MOTORIST FOUND NOT GUILTY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, October 31. The second, trial of Harold Edward Bell on a charge that being the driver of a motor-car he failed to stop and render all practicable assistance after an accident, was heard before Mr Justice Northcroft and a jury in the Supreme Court today. After a retirement of 35/minutes, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty.

On his first trial last week the jury acquitted Bell on a charge of negligent driving, but failed to agree on the second charge.
