COSY THEATRE
A BRILLIANT DRAMA. No one should miss the Fox film “Dark World,” which will be finally shown at the Cosy tonight. It is a brilliant, gripping, drama, with plenty of excellent comedy relief, dancing and music. Tamara Desni has undoubtedly the best role of her career, as the dancer. Leon Quartermaine plays the role of the elder brother. The supporting players, all excellently cast, include Hugh Brooke as the younger brother (he, incidentally, wrote the story) Olga Lindo, Morton Selten, Viola Compton, Fred Duprez, Googie Withers and Rex Evans. “COUNTERFEIT.” On the screen for the first time will be recorded the complete story of the amazing T-Men, guardians of the U.S. Treasury. There is dynamite action when the mighty man-hunters of the treasury clash with the biggest money racketeers in America, which will be seen in “Counterfeit.” Heading the large cast is Chester Morris, sharing the top roles with Margot Grahame, the blonde bombshell of “The Informer.” In support are Lloyd Nolan, as the master mind behind the counterfeiting ring; Marian Marsh, innocent captive of the criminal band; Claude Gillingwater, a U.A. government engraver kidnapped by the counterfeiters, and George McKay, Nolan’s right-hand man.
