The Associated Press correspondent at Paris says it is revealed that Herr Hitler suggested to M. Francois-Pcn-cet a Franco-German agreement based on the Hitler-Cljamberlain declaration. The Quai D’Orsay is not wholly captivated with the idea of a joint declaration for which reason it is possible that Herr Hitler, who is most anxious to remove causes of friction on the Western frontiers, may personally “declare peace” under conditions certain to be acceptable to France.
