ALLEGED TREASON
MAN BEHEADED IN GERMANY. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. BERLIN, October 29. Pink posters nailed to advertising pillars announced that Hugo Zappe, aged 34, of Dresden, was beheaded for high treason. The authorities have taken the unusual course of announcing the reasons, which read: “He pretended to be a Sudeten fugitive, succeeded in obtaining a position of trust, and handed to the Czech Secret Service information endangering the security of the State.”
