ROYALTY IN NORWICH

KING OPENS NEW CITY HALL (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October 29. Their Majesties, who are in residence at Sandringham, motored to Norwich and, after a visit to the ancient Guildhall, where mayors and Lord Mayors of the city have been elected since 1407, proceeded along a route lined deep with enthusiastic crowds to the new City Hall and civic centre, which his Majesty formally opened. "Their Majesties were subsequently the guests of the city at luncheon sub afternoon engagements included a visit by the King to a football match and' one by the Queen to the local hospital to open a new maternity wing. Both made a tour of inspection of the Norwich Lads’ Club and the mutual welfare centre for unemployed.
