DEATH OF MR S. LUTTRELL. (“Times-Age” Special.) The death occurred on-Wednesday of Mr Stan Luttrell, of Western Lake, Featherston, after a short illness, which turned to pneumonia. The late Mr Luttrell had farmed a property at Western Lake for a number of years. He was held in high esteem by his neighbours and much regret will be felt at his death. He is survived by his widow and a grown up family. Many years ago he was employed on Waiorongomai Station along with his brother Monty, who died some years ago. The late Mr Stan Luttrell was a native of Tasmania. Badminton Club. The Badminton Club wound up the season on . Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance and after the completion of the games supper was provided. The competitions for the cake donated by Miss Bessie Donald will be concluded at the end of the month. Personals. Mr Arch. Clark judged the sheep classes at the Hawke’s Bay P. and A. Society’s Show held at Hastings. Mrs Elgar, who arrived in Auckland yesterday, return to Fernside today. Pirate Cricket Club. A euchre party in aid of the Pirate Cricket Club was held on Monday night at the home of Mr and Mrs Leslie. The prizes were won as follows: —Ladies: Mrs Fairbrother 1, Mrs Tutbury 2; consolation, Miss Bambry. Men: Mr Rae 1, Mr Bambry 2; consolation, Mr Blain. Mrs Rea and Mrs Lynskey held the lucky numbers, and Mr J. B. Davis won the box of chocolates. GOLE CLUB. DRAW FOR ANNUAL TOURNEY. The following is the draw and starting times for the annual tournament, which will commence tomorrow at 1 p.m.: —G. O’Neale and W. Rowles, Jnr. (1 p.m.); W. Crawford and J. McCallum (1.4); W. Duncalf (1.28); J. W. Tait and H. Clelland (1.32); E. L. Maunsell and H. R. Bloxam (1.36); D. Carlyon and T? Lang (1.40). Post entries will be accepted on lhe links up till 1.30 and drawn for. Refreshments and light meals will be obtainable on the grounds.
