MEMORABLE PEOPLES’ DAY (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS, October 20. A continuation of the perfect weather conditions that marked the opening of the Hawke’s Bay Agricultural arid Pastoral Society’s spring show yesterday made the people’s day today ,a memorable one. The attendance was well over 15,000 and the attendance for the two days, excluding members, officials and others, was over 22,000. The gate takings for the two days were just over £l,lOO. Had there been a public holiday at Napier, as in past years, officials estimate that this year’s attendance would have been easily a record.
