MEN DISSATISFIED
FERTILISER WORKERS’ AWARD (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, October 20. Although the judge emphasises the importance of the subject in his memorandum, it is stated that there is no mention of annual holidays for continuous shift workers in the Taranaki Manure and Acid Workers’ Award. Intense dissatisfaction with this and the basic rate provided for is said to exist among the men, and at a meeting today they decided to stand firmly behind any action taken by the Auckland employees concerning their award. There is no question of stopping work but Mr F. L. Frost, M.P., has been acquainted with the position, and he will collaborate with Mr W. J. Lyon, M.P., who is dealing with the complaints in Auckland.
