PEACE POLICY
MR CHAMBERLAIN PRAISED VIEWS OF DR MANION. CANADIAN LEADER. (Received This Day, 1 p.m.) EDMONTON, October 18. Dr R. J. Manion, rhe new Conservative Leader, addressing the Service Club, declared that Canadian criticism of Mr Chamberlain’s policy must be predicated ;on a willingness to shed Canadian blood. The fact that Europe was not in the throes of a world war was only through the statesmanship of Mr Chamberlain. Any man wanting war today must be insane. They ought io be glad Mr Chamberlain was in power and pray that he would be in power for many years to come. The British Commonwealth of Nations was a more important League than that of Geneva and its union of races, creeds and colours might yet be an example leading to lasting peace.
