COPPER PRODUCTION
REMOVAL OF RESTRICTIONS RECONSIDERED. PRICES TOUCH HIGHEST POINT OF YEAR. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, October 18. Rhodesian, Chilean and Belgian Congo copper producers operating under restrictions have revised their decision of October 10, removing all retrictions for whatever period is considered advisable, resulting in the metal, after reaching 48Jd, the highest point of the year, yesterday, closing at 47Jd. The decision is regarded as an indication of the producers’ determination not to allow prices to get out of control.
