MAILBAG THEFT
PACKETS STOLEN DURING OTRANTO'S VOYAGE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, October 18. The “Daily Mail” says the Post Office is investigating the theft of nearly 100 registered packets from a mailbag during the Otranto’s voyage from Australia to London. The theft was not discovered until the bag was examined last Sunday. Many other letters had been slit open.
