ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE ACCUSED MAN RELEASED ON BAIL. IN SPITE OF OBJECTION BY POLICE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. HOLLYWOOD, October 17. Colonel Martin Snyder, former husband of the film actress, Ruth Etting, who is held on suspicion of the attempted murder and kidnapping of Myrl Aiderman, Ruth Etting’s present husband, is confident there will be no prosecution. “Ruth is seeing to that. She still loves me,” he said, when interviewed in prison. The doctors are hopeful that Aiderman will live. Alderman’s second wife, Alma, has lodged an action against Miss Etting, alleging that she induced Aiderman to leave his wife. The police state that Aiderman married three times and was not legally divorced when he eloped with Miss Etting, nor had he obtained the final divorce decree from his first wife when he eloped with the second. Snyder was released on bail for 10,000 dollars. The police objected strenuously, declaring that witnesses are fearful of reprisals. The hearing is set down for October 31.
