RABBIT CONTROL

PROPOSAL IN TINUI DISTRICT. MOVE TO FORM ASSOCIATION. ("Times-Age” Special.) A proposal is being put forward in the Tinui district for the formation of a rabbit association as a means to keep rabbits in check. The area to be covered by the operations of the association embraces the whole of Castlepoint County and the Uriti Riding of the Masterton County Council. It is proposed to employ a permanent rabbiter, each landowner to be personally responsible for the payment of his wages while he is working on his property. A meeting convened by the Farmers’ Union will be held at Tinui next Tuesday to consider the project.
