THEIR MAJESTIES

VISIT TO UNITED STATES FOLLOWING ON CANADIAN TOUR. REPORTED PROGRAMME. • By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, October 17. The “Daily Herald” says that the Speech from the Throne at the opening of Parliament will contain an announcement that their Majesties will visit Washington on the conclusion of their Canadian tour. The British Embassy and the State Department at Washington are preparing a programme for the approval of the King and President Roosevelt, providing three days and two nights at the White House and a night aboard the Presidential yacht or a warship, concluding with a naval review at the mouth of the Potomac River. There will also be a State dinner and a ball at the White House and other entertainments. Their Majesties will visit George Washington’s tomb at Mount Vernon. The homeward route will probably include a visit to Bermuda.
