A BELATED MOVE

GERMANY & BRAZILIAN AMBASSADOR. ATTEMPT TO MISREPRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) LONDON, October 16. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Berlin representative describes the German announcement, regarding the Brazilian ambassadorship as a remarkable attempt to misrepresent the circumstances, as Senor Silva nearly a fortnight ago informed the German Government that he had been recalled, after which Brazil informed Germany that Herr von Rittler no longer was persona grata in Brazil. Retorting on Brazil’s intimation that she does not desire the return of Germany’s Ambassador, Herr Karl von Ritter, at present in Berlin, an earlier cablegram reported, Germany has requested Brazil to recall her Ambassador, Senhor De Lima Silva, from Berlin.
