SALE OF WORK

The annual sale of work in aid of St Matthew’s Parish will be held by the ladies’ guild in the Parish Hall on Friday next, October 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Produce, cakes, sweets, flowers, plain and fancy sewing work, toys, novelties of all kinds will be on sale. Afternoon tea will be available. The ladies have been working for several months to make this year’s sale a great success, and they hope to see the hall crowded with friends and helpers. The proceeds of the sale will be devoted to the church’s work, including improvements to the grounds.
