Mr A. V. Jury, Union Airways pilot and formerly of Greytown, who has been spending a holiday in the Wairarapa, has returned to V/ellington. The Wellington Presbytery, a Press Association message states, has nominated the Rev J. L. Robinson, of Christchurch, as Moderator of the General Assembly for the Centennial year. Mr G. D. Falloon, a divinity student at Knox College, Dunedin, has been appointed to represent the Students’ Christian Movement at the international missionary conference in Madras, India, from December 12 to 30. Reference was made at last night’s meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust to the death of the late Mr W. T. Grundy, and to the fine work he had done for the town as a trustee. A vote of sympathy, with the relatives of the la,te Mr Grundy was passed, members standing in silence.
