Mrs J. Ninnes, of Masterton, is on a visit to Wellington. Miss Jean Alexander, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs C. S. Taylor, “Waireka.” Mrs J. McKenna, of Newman, is visiting her son Mr L. McKenna, Pihautea.
Miss Lewis, of Napier, is the guest of Mrs T. R. Barrer, Renall Street, Masterton.
Miss Kinsella is visiting her aunt Mrs R. Charles, Hayward Street, Featherston. Miss Kinsella, who is dental nurse at Wairoa, is on sick leave.
Miss L. J. Frayne, M.A., of Wellington, who has just returned frc'm a three years’ visit to England, is the guest of Miss Moyna Barrer of Masterton.
Mrs Russell, of Palmerston North, has been a visitor to Featherston as the guest of the Misses Card, “Awahou.” Mrs Russell is a daughter of Mr G. F. Wellstead who was stationmaster at Featherston about forty years ago. Miss Ninnes, of Masterton, who has returned from a trip to England, Scotland and the Continent, was the guest at a welcome home party given by Mrs J. H. Handyside last night when a number of intimate friends were present. Miss Ninnes related some very interesting incidents concerning places she had visited while abroad. The prizes at bridge were won by Mrs J. Ninnes and Miss Ninnes.
