DR. HUGO ECKENER
PRESENTATION OF BRITISH HONOUR. GOLD MEDAL OF AERONAUTICAL SOCIETY. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.22 a.m.) RUGBY, October 12. The British Ambassador to Germany, Sir Nevile Henderson presented to Dr. Hugo Eckener, the gold medal of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Sir Nevile Henderson said this was the first time the ’gold medal had been awarded outside the British Empire and marked British appreciation of the high place Dr. Eckener had won in the sphere of aeronautical science.
