ALLEGED DECEIT
MR J. STRACHEY’S EXCLUSION FROM U.S.A. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. NEW YORK, October 12. The Secretary of State, Mr Cordell Hull, explained that the visa of Mr John Strachey, British author and lecturer, who was denied admission to the United States, was cancelled owing to a misrepresentation on his part. Originally his entry into the United States was approved after he had taken an oath that Jie was not a member of the Communist Party. Later the department received information that Strachey was a member of the Communist Party ,in Britain, and was elected to the executive committee at Birmingham on September 16.
