GERMAN REFUGEES
APPEAL TO BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER FORBIDDEN TO EARN LIVING. MURDERS IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, October 11. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Prague correspondent says a deputation of ten thousand Austro-German emigres, the majority of whom are Jews, waited on Sir Neill Malcolm, High Commissioner for German Refugees, and pointed out that they had been forbidden to earn a living. Furthermore, it was politically impossible for the Czechs to resist German demands for their deportation. Henleinists continue to attack Czech frontier guards, two, of whom were killed at Novares. Eight defence guards were killed by Storm Troopers during the evacuation of Mixulov. The “Telegraph” adds that, the Germans are removing transportable Czech fortifications to the Western front.
