LORD STANLEY LIKELY TO RESIGN CONSIDERABLE RESHUFFLE POSSIBLE. TIME THOUGHT OPPORTUNE FOR “PURGE.” By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, October 11. The Australian Associated Press says there are serious fears that the Secretary of State for the Dominions, Lord Stanley, will resign from Cabinet on account of ill-health. His resignation will leave two vacancies. It is considered likely that in filling the posts Mr Neville Chamberlain will considerably reshuffle the. Cabinet, possibly bringing in one or two complete newcomers.,,,, It is known that a powerful section of the Conservatives are pressing for the elimination of several Cabinet members who are regarded as unsuitable, and consider the time is opportune for a purge.
