DR. E. BENES STANDING IN GLASGOW REPRESENTATIVE OF RIGHTS OF SMALL NATIONS. LIBERAL PARTY LEADER AMONG OPPONENTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. The ex-President of Czechoslovakia, Dr Benes, has agreed to stand as the Scottish Nationalist candidate in the Glasgow University Rectorial election. Dr Benes consented to nomination as representing the principle of the right of small democratic nations to order their own affairs. The election will be held on October 22. Other candidates are Sir Archibald Sinclair (Liberal), Mr Laurence Housman (Pacifist) and Sir Henry Lunn (Distributist).
